Pere Egbi, a Nollywood actor and former Big Brother Naija housemate, has dispelled rumors that he is having an affair with Rashida Bello, the First Lady of Kogi State.
The actor denied the rumor in a tweet on Tuesday, calling it a "demonic lie."
"For the record, Jackson Ude's and others retweeting that garbage's publication about me and the First Lady of Kogi State is a diabolical falsehood and a fiction of a twisted imagination."
Pere also threatened to sue Jackson Ude, a Nigerian-American journalist who published the report on Twitter.
"They must appear in court before me in both Nigeria and the United States of America, where he resides."
In a tweet, the US-based writer claimed that there was rumor in Abuja that Pere and the First Lady of Kogi State were supposedly lovers.
"Why is Pere Egbi from #BBNaija all over the place with Rashida Bello, the First Lady of Kogi State?" The rumor in Abuja is that they are lovers. Mrs Bello and Egbi are claimed to have been seen multiple times at the Hilton Hotel in Abuja. The gist is that the First Lady gave Egbi N5 million when they first met."
