A veteran Nollywood actor, Sir David Osagie, has died.

The actor, who is most known for his portrayal of a monarch in films, died on set, according to reports.

Colleagues of the Nollywood star who resorted to social media to express their grief revealed he was on set the day before his death, on May 3, only to learn of his death this morning.

Announcing his demise in an Instagram post actress, Ezeh-Bosah Ngozi Florence wrote,

“Good morning fam, I hate to say this but we have lost another Nollywood king, Sir David. He wasn’t sick, it just happened. How do we explain this, another loss in Nollywood. Oh Lord have mercy. Rest in peace Sir Dave. I Mourn again oh I mourn ooh. This life shall, it’s all but once. Nothing dey to fight or kill body for. Chai”.

This comes just days after actress Chinedu Bernard collapsed in church and died.

Doctors at the East Side hospital in Enugu confirmed her death after she slumped while cleaning the Chapel of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in the Federal Housing Area of Enugu State.

Rev Fr. Uchendu Chukwuma, the parish priest, and some parishioners hurried her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
