Joy Nwachukwu, an interior designer, shared her kidnapping experience in Abuja on Thursday.

Nwachukwu, who tweeted about her ordeal with the kidnappers, stated that she boarded a vehicle from Peace Park junction heading to Life Camp, only to find herself in the arms of kidnappers.

She stated, "The other passenger who entered with me alighted at Airport Junction, right next to the AP filling station. They took off as soon as he got down. Before I could turn my head, I was beaten from the left, right, and center, had my hand macheted, and was punched directly in both eyes."

Nwachukwu stated that she passed out and awoke on the Kaduna Road. A phone call to her mother saved the day, as she (mum) offered to pay them the amount offered by the sender.

A million naira ransom was demanded.

She claimed that after paying N400,000, she was dropped off at 2.25 a.m. at Life Camp junction and given N2,000 for transportation.

Nwachukwu revealed that she ended up in trauma at the National Hospital's in Abuja and reported the incident to the Utako Police Station.
