Wole Adetiran, the composer of the National Youth Service Corps anthem, has died.
He died on Friday, May 6, at the age of 74, according to reports.
Adetiran, who studied music at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, said he wrote the anthem in 1984 while serving in the Oyo State army corps.
Adetiran complained in July 2021 that he had been suffering from ailments such as hypertension, diabetes, and prostate cancer since 2018.
